Jan Weyant-Hamel
Jan has a masters in Health Promotion from American University (MSHP), and an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Maine. She is a certified Health Coach, a practicing Kripalu Yoga instructor with a dual certification as a 200hr Kripalu Yoga and RISE (stress management, resilience, mindfulness) facilitator in connection with the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA.
Jan is passionate about health and wellness. She delivers the message at work but strives to live it too. She is a swimmer on the South County YMCA masters swim team in South Kingstown, RI. She is passionate about cycling, having spent several years racing road and cyclocross in New England. When she’s not on the bike, trail, or swimming in the pool or the Sound, Jan loves eating great food, try local ciders and wines and is looking forward to some amazing culinary adventures at Foxwoods! She also loves New Haven style Pizza and grew up eating at Zuppardi’s with family in West Haven.
She looks forward to serving the Mashantucket Tribal Community and invites all community members to stop by her office in the Tribal Health building for a chat or a walk!
