Our Mission

The mission of the Social Services Department is to provide a comprehensive range of services to members of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation that supports and empowers individuals, families, and the tribal community as a whole. Our goal is to uplift every member of our community, ensuring they have access to the resources and assistance they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives. We strive to uphold the Tribe's cultural values and traditions in all our programs and services, thereby fostering a sense of belonging, community resilience, and cultural pride.

The goal of each Social Services team member is to ensure that they provide services and resources to help members meet their basic needs. Each individual shall be l treated with compassion and respect and the utmost care will be taken to ensure privacy.

  • Assistance in applying for Federal and State Programs (SSDI/SSI, SNAP, WIC…)
  • Community Health Worker services (advocacy and support)
  • Family Services Coordinator (Young Adult program, Parenting classes, advocacy and support)
